Pence

1, This image will be what come up on the screen first showing pence just an image of him with his name pence graffitied on the wall behind him then you click the button that says lets go.

2, The next image is a behind view of pence with him holding a spray can with a bland wall infront of him then there is a button that says tag when you click and hold that down he begins to spray his tag all over the wall.( there will be sprag can sound effects when then is happening)

3, The third image is of pence after he has finished the tag the tags will all be in colour but the maint scene of the comic will be black and white so it will really stand out , i am also thinking of using black and white images to put pence onto.

4, The forth image is an image of pence on top off a roof taging up a sign, then you have the option to scarper when you do that you here a running sound like footsteps when you do that the image fades out .

5, This image come up after the running stops its an image of pence getting caught by the cops the sound efect will be like a game over noise then a button appears that says run you click that and the footstep noise comes up again.

6, this last image is pence running away from the cops every time u click the run button it makes a running noise and pence will get further away as you keep clicking it untill he goes into the distance untill he disaperes and that is where the story ends.

Online comics are like normal comocs but you read them online. This gets you more involved with the story and evan lets you interprite the outcome and the way in which the story goes. I feel that this form of comic is a bit poor, i feel a comic should depict itsself rather than us making the story as we go along.

Hotel
Hotel was an online comic we looked at and to be honist i really didnt like it it confused me and i really didnt see the story behind it, if i read a comic i like there to be a begining a middle and an end like all storys but trying this out i was completly lost and i felt i couldnt get into a book that wasnt really going anywhere here , hotel used what is know as more modern techniques of production all of this you could see was created on a computer no real first had drawings or photos were used, it was compltly unrealistic and there was no real sence of reality to it which i thing didnt help it at all in my own personal opinion, below is an example of hotel,

Dead on Arrival
Dead on arrival is another online comic that we looked at, this one i really liked it had a good story, altho u do get to depict the way the story goes it would have the same outcome, you just picked different characters to folow threw the story which i thought was great i enjoyed going threw this and i feel they way they set this out was really fun to do they used some great effects, in this comic they used some traditional methods like taking photos and jsut editing them rather than creat something from scratch, they also used some great effects like when you turn the page below is an example of dead on arivial.

I enjoyed looking into interacttive comics but as i have never really been a fan of comics i didnt find it that great on an intrest level of what it was but when it came ot an artistic outlook on it then i enjoyed seeing these effects giving me insperation for my final peice.

Sound capture

Today we had an introduction into using a peice of audio equipment called marantz which is a digital recording device for recording sound effects. the bloke who came in and told us about it when into detail about hwo ot use it and how to resent the mashine, he showed us how to format it and how to set up the equipment, he pointed out what all the number represented aka the number of tracks we recorded and the amount of recorded time there is left on the memory. he told us about the two different mics the long one for recording sounds from a distance and one for recording sounds close up, he told us that we wont need to use many of the setting on the device so he jsut went threw all the basic setting of it , he told us about pre sets were u can switch settings quickly

Flash

In this image is were we croped a photo to the right size to fit in are flash animation, i started with a large image of tpain and using the rulers on photoshop to get the correct pixel size.,

this photo is the image i used for the flash after it had been cropped as you can see it is an image of tpain the size we cropped it down to is, 325 by 480 i would then go on to add a moving image onto this image i had 2 different ideas one to have a long block jsut travel up and down bmy image but then desided to go with the ball bouncing around the screen.

This is an example of the ball i used it is a golden ball, i made this using ther shape tool to create it i would next use the tween tool after making a start in finish point using the tween tool it would make it move.

In the top right of this image you can see the T that i put on my golden circle by skipin frame and creating a ovel ontop of my t i gave it an effect to make the T look like it was breating, My final product was an image of Tpain with a ball with a breathing T onit bouncing around the screen like the old school ping pong game.
I did not really enjoy this task , flash confuses me and i feel i did not learn much in the way of how exacly we did it , i managed to just keep up with what was going on but i do not feel i could do this again on my own, but overall i am happy with my final product, it is a bit simplistic but i feel with a bit of practice and reasearch i could get alot better at flash and i hope to when doing this course.

Comic Books
Comic strip is a sequence of drawings arranged in interrelated panels to display brief humour or form a narrative, often contains images of text in balloons and captions, threw the 20th century it was traditional that comic strips were published in newspapers with horizontal strips printed in black and white in daily newspapers.
Many experts have said the comics of today have been works bassed on the original work by Rudolphe Topffler, Wilhelm Bush or Angelo Agotini.

RUDOLPHE TOPFFLER
In 1827 the Swedish artist Rudolphe Topffer created a comic strip and continued to publish seven more graphic novels, The adventures of Obadiah oldbuck was publish in 1837 by rudolphe topffer and is considered the earliest known comic book, then in 1842 The Adventures Of Obadiah Oldbuck became the first comic book to be published in the united states, the comic was a forty page book, each page has several picture panels with text underneath.

WILHELM BUSH
In 1859 the German poet and artist Wihelm Bush published comical images in the newspaper Fliegende Blatter, in 1865 he published a famous comic called Max und Moritz.

RICHARD OUTCAULT
In 1895, created by Richard Outcault was Yellow Kid, which was suggested as the first comic strip as his was the first comic strip to use the balloon as the space for the text on the page. But there were comic strips and comic books published before the Yellow Kid debuted in the New York City newspaper, The World.

BRENDA STARR
On June 19th 1940 Brenda Starr published the first cartoon strip written by a woman in Chicago.

Around the 1900s the terms comics and comic strips came into common use in the US, the name comic is used to describe them because back then all the strips used in the paper were funny at first comic strips in newspapers were called The funnies and then later the work comics became more popular.
In 1754 Benjamin Franklin created the first editorial cartoon published in an American newspaper, the cartoon was an illustration of a snake with a severed head and had the printed words Join or Die, the cartoon was intended to intimidate the different colonies into joining what was to become the United States.

Comic books are descended from these early comic strips, comic strips have been expanded and lengthened into a huge international market of comic books for people of all ages, and a lot of money can now be made on old comic strips dependant on the quality and condition the comics have been kept in. Comic books of the modern day such as books ranging from Blondie to wolverine have hit a huge teenage market. Comics originated in the USA and have worked their way over into the UK with comics such as Beano and Chester chimp.

British comics are usually comic anthologies which are typically aimed at kids and are published weekly although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule The top 3 running British comics are The Dandy, The Beano and Comic Cuts, although in modern times British comic have been largely over taken by American comic books and Japanese manga.

JANE
Jane is a comic strip produced during world war two to help boost the morale of troops fighting in the war, and it was said to have worked, speaking to people of the 2nd world war they saw Jane in a sort of fantasy way of their perfect woman, they would imagine there own stories with her, and others saw her as a sister, images of Jane was put on the side of fighter planes, she was a beautiful blond slim perfect image of a woman which is probably why she was so popular among male troops, most of her comic strips were a story about her somehow losing her cloths her name was Jane gay, gay in the scene of being cheerful and happy,
